Sit on what I have (still trying to reclaim stuff after getting hacked a couple of years back). Even if I was going to play GW2, there's no reason to dump anything in GW1 at this point. The game will still be supported for a while after GW2 comes out, and you never know when Anet might throw a bone that would require some more activity in GW1 to get something in GW2. Heck, they may even eventually let gamers host their own servers (or even make an off-line version of the the game), so no point in throwing anything away until the very end.

Every time a skill is nerfed and people quit over it I want GW2 less. I'll probably just hang on to the wealth and keep myself busy over the winter playing the original.

Still have a ton to do finishing campaigns and getting armors and weapons...
Plus my LDOA in progress, and all the future stuff with that character.
When I do finally get to that far-off point when everything I ever wanted to do in GW is finished........I'll probably start on FoW/UW/DoA.
And I'm never going to GW2.
By the time I'm completely, utterly finished with and sick of GW, I just might have a computer capable of handling The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Random note: On my personal scale, 400k with zero ectos is mega-wealth I never thought I'd have even two years ago.

What will I do with my wealth? Well, nothing...
(Am I supposed to do something with it?)

Option 1: Delete my storage accounts
Option 2: Give it away
Option 1 is much quicker then option 2.

My wealth has been dwindling due to rarely playing the game when I log in as well as buying Zaishen Keys when I see a good deal in GToB.
I'll try (half-heartedly) to get rank 10 Zaishen before GW2 is released. Other than that there is nothing I want.

My wealth? What wealth? It cost me most of what I had to get obby armor, the last thing I needed for 50/50. Now I'm down to about 150K, some of which will inevitably end up with friends, and the rest I'll probably whittle away on rings or something.
IMO, if you amassed a fortune but you aren't playing anymore, then you were probably taking it too seriously when you were.

Lol. The game won't require anything massively powerful to run.

Oh and to answer the question. I haven't given it much thought. I do plan on playing GW2 and whether I quit GW or not depends on the level of support ANet gives it after GW2 launch. If it loses all support, I'll pop in here and there to give it to players who could put it to good use.

There's no shortage of people who think everything was better "back in the day" and if we could only go back there life would be perfect. This is a little-known fact, but the very first cave drawing made by a Neaderthal was a whiny rant about how hunting mastadons was way more fun before it was nerfed by the introduction of the bow-and-arrow.
A less-known fact was that the 2nd cave drawing was a snarky response by Cro-magnon man who told Neaderthals to use the search function and then closed the thread.
The circle of life remains unbroken.

Though I have to admit that I am one of those "it was better in the old days" people, but mainly concerning inscriptions, not skills, I am also a huge metaphor fan, and yours just made my day^^
My hat off to you sir.

We're all that way about something. I know I am, and it's just as ridiculous when I do it (although I don't usually know that until my wife points it out to me).
Glad you got the joke

It was funny. I do wish they'd leave crap alone though, it just drives people away, even the changes in functionality that buff skills make people quit. Empty servers are boring.
But, to stay on the tracks, I garnered most of my shiny bits playing through and not too much farming. I don't have the stomach for speed-clears; I'm ground out already from the titles; I guess I'm not a good factory worker. It would be nice and realistic to allow a trove of goodies to be stashed away for discovery in GW2 but it would be an unfair advantage.
I spend enough on guildies and friends that I don't feel like I'm hoarding any vast US Treasury-style stimulus package from the economy. That and you never know if you might some day want to come back and not be broke.
